EGAR Choice Discussion Cards [Series 2A] Game 10 - ALCOHOL ABUSE

These structured Award-Winning EGAR Let's Get Talking Choice discussion cards are great toolkits for intervention and prevention work through communication, conversation and life skills.  They can be used as additional tools to curriculums or for recreational learning.  They will raise awareness about ALCOHOL ABUSE and the affect it has on the body.  

Young people will discuss their knowledge through their choice of cards and their understanding of alcohol abuse.  It will encourage them not to drink too much, what the causes of doing so may be and also the consequences that go with these decisions.  It will also help them to realise the dangers and consequences involved in their lives when teenagers in particular drink too much and do not realise the addiction is creeping up on them.  It focuses on behaviour, drink related problems, addictions and the control you have with it or not.  The card set will support your work with Alcohol Abuse, drilling down and unpicking the minds and attitudes of young people, often to find there are much deeper rooted problems, the discussions will support you the educator or parent with solutions to understand why there may be challenges emerging and why drinking habits are forming or formed.  

EGAR learning method is a good introductory tool to use for a piece of themed work or for use in corporate 'icebreakers' training on this subject; either a one to one basis or within collaborated learning.
